On October 17, 2019, Star Petroleum Refining PCL (SPRC), led by Mr. Timothy Alan Potter, SPRC's CEO hosted the Kathin Ceremony 2019 at Wat Sophon Wanaram Temple, Rayong Province, raising fund of 1,102,715.25 THB. This year, the ceremony was co-sponsored by CBI (Thailand), CR Asia (Thailand), Technip Engineering (Thailand), Union Construction & Supply, as well as some Rayong local communities: Wat Sophon, Soi Ruam Pattana, and Soi Prapa.

Occurring at the end of rain retreat, the Kathin Ceremony is an annual Buddhist ceremony in which lay Buddhists offer new saffron robes to monks and fund-raising campaigns for local temple maintenance or other benevolent causes are carried out. Recognizing the tradition as part of Thai cultural heritage, SPRC took part in this significant festival in order to help foster the Buddhist faith and continue the long-standing tradition. This is also in accordance with the "Do Good, Look Great with Nong STARS" Project which seeks to promotes a good relationships between SPRC and communities.
