05 November 2019

Bangkok – 5 November 2019: Mr. Timothy A. Potter, CEO and Director of Star Petroleum Refining Public Company Limited (“SPRC”), has released its operating and financial performance for Q3/2019.  Total revenue was US$ 1,435 million (Baht 44,307 million). There was a Net loss of US$ 30 million (Baht 925 million), resulting from low refining margins, stock loss, and expenses related to preparations for the planned Q4/2019 refinery turnaround, capacity increase, and reliability projects.

Mr. Timothy A. Potter also said that SPRC has achieved over 6 years (22.1 million man-hours) without days away from work injury. The execution of the refinery shutdown for Inspections, Reliability Enhancements, and Capacity Increase was started on 1 November 2019 as planned and is proceeding well.   SPRC will add another 10,000 barrels per day of production, enhance already strong reliability, and increase crude and feedstock flexibility with full year benefit realization in 2020.
