SPRC Volunteers Extend Safety Culture to Wat Pathumawas and Ban Hin Kong Prachanukroh Schools, Rayong Province

Recently, volunteers of Star Petroleum Refining Public Company Limited (SPRC) together with staff from AkzaNobel Company Limited, a company contractor organize the “2nd Back to School” activity at Ban Hin Kong Prachanukroh School and Wat Pathumawas School, both at Bankai District, Rayong Province. The event, which focused at putting across safety culture to school children, SPRC’s Bike Club providing tips on how children can take care of bicycles as well as traffic and safety rules when they biked. Children learned to practice these traffic rules while cycling in a traffic-simulated biking ground. Members of the club helped repairing their bicycles to ensure safety.

Aside from promoting safety culture, volunteers under the Do Good Look Great with Nong STAR campaign also helped repairing dilapidated electrical equipment, changing the school’s restroom doors, cleaning and painting the school’s fence and its basketball court as well as painting and restoring recreational equipment in a playground of Ban Hin Kong Prachanukroh School. SPRC wrapped up this event by donating 20 computers, 22 bicycles and 3 water coolers to both schools.
