SPRC Funds V-ChEPC Project for 2016 and Signs MOU for the Project’s 4th Phase

     On June 27, 2016, Mr. William Lewis Stone, CEO of Star Petroleum Refining Public Company Limited (SPRC), signed the MOU between the Vocational Education Committee, the Suksaphat Foundation, the Petrochemical Industry Club of the Federation of Thai Industries, the Petroleum Institute of Thailand, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and Rajamangkala University of Technology Thanyaburi, for the 4th phase of the Vocational Chemical Engineering Practice College (V-ChEPC) Project. The ceremony, held at the Century Park Hotel, Bangkok, was presided over by General Dapong Ratanasuwan, Minister of Education.

     After the signing, SPRC presented the 1 million baht annual project funding for the academic year 2016. We also received awards and certificates from the Minister of Education for providing professional mentors in the project’s internship programs.

     This year marks the 9th consecutive year of SPRC’s sponsorship of the V-ChEPC Project in Maptaphut Technical College, with a total of 9 million baht in funding. This continuous project aims to establish the Maptaphut Technical College as the model institute with a curriculum developed through collaboration with the industrial sector and other concerned parties, in order to develop youth into skilled technicians which meet the requirement of Thailand’s petroleum and petrochemical industry.
